Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior System Administrator to lead the enhancement and reliability of enterprise IT infrastructure supporting critical federal healthcare services. The individual will play a central technical role in managing ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions, ensuring system stability, data integrity, and alignment with federal compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and refine ServiceNow components including CMDB, Discovery, Event Management, and Service Mapping to ensure accurate system representation.
- Integrate and manage data flows between on-premises and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, vCenter, SCCM, and SolarWinds.
- Configure and maintain MID Servers, API connections, and automated data pipelines for seamless operations.
- Enforce CMDB data quality through reconciliation logic, lifecycle controls, and governance policies.
- Support ITIL-based processes including Incident, Change, Configuration, Asset, and Problem Management.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to automate system workflows and increase operational visibility.
- Ensure all system practices meet federal data governance and security requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years in system administration, with at least two focused on ServiceNow ITOM environments.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) credential required.
- Proven technical expertise in CMDB management, API integrations (REST/SOAP), and JavaScript scripting.
- Working knowledge of ITIL v4 frameworks and their operational application.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITOM or CMDB.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experience supporting federal government IT systems.
- Background in automation tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, or Jenkins.
