As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will play a central role in advancing an open-source collaboration platform used by organizations worldwide. You'll partner with product managers, engineers, and QA specialists in a cross-functional environment, focusing on uncovering user needs and turning insights into intuitive, effective design solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Work within a product trio to define problems and identify opportunities before designing solutions
- Lead the design process—from early research to final implementation—ensuring continuity and quality
- Conduct user research, including exploratory interviews and usability testing, to inform design direction
- Transform findings into clear, actionable design concepts and high-fidelity prototypes using Figma
- Refine designs through feedback cycles with users, developers, and stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure accurate translation of designs into code
- Contribute to the evolution of the design system by defining, documenting, and maintaining reusable components
- Redesign legacy features to improve usability and consistency across the product
- Balance ideal user experiences with technical feasibility and delivery timelines
- Propose enhancements that align with long-term product vision and user needs
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience designing complex digital products with a user-centered approach
- Hands-on experience conducting user research and usability evaluations
- Strong proficiency in Figma for concept development, iteration, and high-fidelity mockups
- Experience working within cross-functional teams including engineering, product, QA, and marketing
- Past contributions to or maintenance of a design system
- The ability to navigate trade-offs between ideal UX, technical constraints, and business goals
- A practical, iterative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, curious attitude
