Shape the future of intelligent bidding systems as a Senior or Staff Machine Learning Engineer at a global technology company headquartered in Bangkok. This role offers relocation assistance and the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the world for up to 30 days annually. You will play a central role in evolving machine learning infrastructure that drives real-time decision-making and enhances user experiences at scale.
What You’ll Do
- Lead technical strategy and execution to improve the scalability, reliability, and performance of machine learning systems.
- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines using Spark, Hadoop, and cloud storage solutions.
- Work deeply with models including gradient-boosted trees, regression algorithms, and neural networks, ensuring they are production-ready and well-integrated.
- Develop and deploy libraries and frameworks that support large-scale model training and inference.
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams to automate data workflows and improve system efficiency.
- Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, and system observability across the ML lifecycle.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience, with a minimum of 4 years focused on machine learning systems.
- Proficiency in Python3, SQL, and a JVM-based language such as Java or Scala.
- Solid understanding of software design patterns, functional and object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience navigating big data ecosystems, including Hadoop, Spark, and distributed storage technologies.
- Strong analytical mindset with a proven ability to solve complex engineering challenges.
Preferred Background
- Familiarity with open-source tools and frameworks in the data science and ML space.
- Hands-on experience with Scala and scripting in Bash or Python.
- Agile development experience with test-driven practices.
- Linux systems administration knowledge.
