We're building a collaborative platform that redefines how companies plan their finances, and we need a seasoned Platform Engineer to help lay the technical groundwork. In this role, you'll play a central part in designing and evolving the systems that power our core product, ensuring they scale efficiently and remain adaptable as our customer base grows.
What You’ll Do
- Architect and implement backend systems that support high-performance formula evaluation and large-scale data querying
- Collaborate with product and design teams to turn complex financial workflows into intuitive, data-driven features
- Design and maintain a resilient, cloud-native infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Kubernetes and Go
- Help define best practices, technical direction, and long-term scalability strategies
- Contribute to building an integration ecosystem capable of handling millions of data rows across hundreds of sources
- Mentor and support future engineering hires as the team expands
What We’re Looking For
- At least five years of experience in backend development with a proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives
- Demonstrated success delivering reliable, high-throughput systems in fast-moving environments
- A strong sense of ownership, with the ability to identify customer needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Commitment to clean, maintainable code and continuous improvement in engineering practices
- Experience working cross-functionally to deliver customer-focused outcomes
- Passion for shaping not just code, but culture and team dynamics
Nice to Have
- Prior experience at the staff engineer level or in a technical leadership capacity
- Deep familiarity with Go, Kubernetes, or cloud infrastructure on GCP
- Interest or experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation
- Background in building query engines, analytics platforms, or data-intensive applications

Compensation ranges from $190,000 to $230,000, with additional generous equity and potential performance-based bonuses. We believe in paying fairly and providing real ownership stakes for key contributors.
