당근마켓(daangn) is looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join the ML Data Platform team within the Feed Personalization domain. This is a 3-month experiential internship with a potential extension based on evaluation, focused on building and optimizing high-performance data platforms for personalization and recommendation services.
What You'll Do
- Develop monitoring, alerting, and debugging systems to improve data quality in the feature store.
- Develop features on the engineer-facing platform to improve developer experience, making it easier for users to contribute and operate.
- Optimize service performance and cost to ensure stable operation under high traffic.
What We're Looking For
- Basic computer science foundational knowledge.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language and no aversion to learning new languages as needed.
- Interest in operating platform services handling large-scale traffic.
- Self-directed with good communication skills for effective collaboration with fellow engineers.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of the full backend service lifecycle in a distributed service environment, including new development, refactoring, enhancement, migration, monitoring, issue response, incident response, profiling, and performance optimization.
