SanMar is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support business process analysis, cloud application implementation, and AI architecture tasks under senior guidance. You'll focus on learning and applying best practices while contributing to unit testing and documentation within our mission-driven and innovative environment.
What You'll Do
- Support the analysis of business processes and assist in the design of system workflows.
- Assist in implementing cloud-based applications under the guidance of senior developers.
- Learn and apply best practices in developing code using Python and Spark for data workflows.
- Contribute to tasks involving AI architecture under supervision, focusing on gaining hands-on experience.
- Perform unit testing and basic debugging for assigned features.
- Gather and synthesize information from documentation, stakeholders, and teammates to understand technical requirements.
- Document development activities and provide regular updates to project leads.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 1+ years of beginner proficiency with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- 1+ years of beginner proficiency with AI Architecture.
- 1+ years of beginner proficiency with AWS Core Infrastructure.
- 1+ years of beginner proficiency with Python.
- 1+ years of beginner proficiency with Apache Spark Operations.
- Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years.
