Role Overview
Join a team focused on building robust, cloud-native data infrastructure on AWS. As a Sr. Data Engineer, you'll play a central role in designing and managing data pipelines that power analytics and business intelligence. Your work will directly influence how data is processed, stored, and made available across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage scalable ETL/ELT workflows using Talend and AWS services to support enterprise-wide data movement and transformation.
- Optimize data models in Amazon Redshift for performance and usability, aligning with reporting and analytical requirements.
- Work alongside data architects, analysts, and business teams to define data needs and deliver accurate, well-documented solutions.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and validation processes to maintain data quality and system reliability.
- Automate and orchestrate data workflows using AWS Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Stay up to date with advancements in AWS technologies and recommend improvements to existing data engineering practices.
Required Qualifications
- 6 or more years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a similar technical role.
- Proven experience with core AWS services including Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, IAM, and Step Functions.
- Strong proficiency in Talend for developing and managing data integration pipelines.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience in query optimization and performance tuning at scale.
- Working knowledge of Python or Shell scripting for automation and data processing tasks.
- Understanding of data governance, security protocols, and compliance standards in cloud environments.
- Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with distributed, cross-functional teams.

Work Model
This is a hybrid role. Candidates should be based in Bangalore or Pune, though applicants from other major Indian metro cities like Hyderabad or Chennai may be considered. The position requires two days of onsite work each week to support collaboration and team engagement.
