Responsibilities
- Resolve incidents and problems in a controlled manner, including proper prioritization and escalation as needed
- Collaborate with business and technology teams as necessary to support system operations
- Maintain and support applications and systems to meet or exceed service level expectations while reducing operational risks
- Work with stakeholders to plan, package, and deploy new applications efficiently, using parallel workflows to reduce deployment time
- Enhance production environment stability by collaborating on setup, monitoring, and maintenance of systems to meet availability goals
- Deliver daily application support by accurately diagnosing and resolving production issues promptly, with attention to client satisfaction
- Coordinate with internal teams to schedule, package, and release new software efficiently, streamlining change execution through parallel implementation planning
- Ensure timely communication and escalation of issues, providing resolution options and updates to support project success
- Deliver high-quality, error-free operational support by investigating system issues, implementing solutions, and maintaining thorough documentation
- Engage with clients to deliver service and solutions aligned with business objectives and client needs
- Design, evaluate, and integrate application requirements across functional, security, performance, and operational domains
- Detect and resolve application, data, and cross-functional issues that impact system integrity
- Provide technical guidance to internal teams on specialized technologies, trends, and processes
- Schedule and implement system changes following approved change management protocols, ensuring testing, approvals, and minimal business disruption
- Establish relationships with third-party vendors when necessary to meet support needs
- Support the planning, packaging, and release of applications in line with governance and approval standards
- Gain technical insight into project and break-fix work to advise developers and solution designers
- Manage second-level incident response, monthly maintenance, system health checks, and service level agreement compliance
- Provide ongoing production support through accurate issue identification and timely resolution
- Serve as incident coordinator during outages, managing communication, tracking, and resolution efforts
- Improve production stability by supporting system configuration, monitoring, and maintenance
- Track system lifecycles to ensure alignment with business goals and architecture, initiating updates or re-development when needed
- Evaluate system performance using relevant metrics and reporting
- Support disaster recovery planning and testing activities
- Evaluate and implement operational improvements to enhance system performance and resource efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or technical certification
- 5 to 7 years of relevant IT experience
- Proficiency in SAS programming
- Knowledge of mainframe platforms, including JCL, AWF scheduling, and Endevor
- General understanding of Rahona and cloud technologies
- Experience executing ETL processes
- Hands-on experience with Databricks
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
- Experience using Visual Studio Code
