Role Overview
As an Acumatica Developer, you will play a key role in designing and supporting ERP solutions for clients across Canada. Working remotely, you'll collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver systems that meet specific operational needs. Your responsibilities will include development, testing, and ongoing support of Acumatica applications, ensuring reliable and scalable implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical guidance during ERP implementations, including customizations, integrations, reporting, data migration, and application support.
- Evaluate system requirements and conduct thorough testing to ensure performance and accuracy.
- Design and build relational database structures and integrate new platforms with existing internal systems.
- Engage directly with clients to gather and document business and technical requirements, then translate them into functional solutions.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical audiences, advising on system strategy, security, and service delivery.
- Explore emerging technologies and create proof-of-concept models to assess potential improvements.
- Plan and execute software upgrades and enhancements in alignment with best practices.
- Communicate clearly and consistently to resolve technical issues efficiently and maintain high service standards.
- Apply analytical thinking to solve complex, open-ended challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
- Work independently and collaboratively, adapting to shifting priorities and project demands.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of hands-on Acumatica development experience.
- Four-year degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- Five years of professional experience in software development or technical consulting.
- Acumatica Certified Application Developer credential is required.
- Proven experience in client-facing roles with strong technical engagement.
- Familiarity with relational databases and object-oriented programming principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and capable of managing tasks independently.
- Adaptable mindset with a strong desire to learn and innovate.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 15% of the time, to meet with clients or support on-site initiatives.
