As an Imagery Specialist, you will manage and refine geospatial datasets derived from aerial, satellite, and drone platforms. Your work will focus on processing and evaluating large-scale raster data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across 2D and 3D outputs such as digital surface models, orthophotos, mosaics, and 3D urban environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and analyze global raster datasets to support production pipelines.
- Monitor daily data output for quality assurance and identify potential issues.
- Interpret data patterns to detect trends and resolve anomalies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth data flow from acquisition to delivery.
- Execute daily operational plans to meet project timelines and service-level targets.
- Collaborate with engineering to enhance automation and improve system workflows.
- Document processes and propose functional improvements through structured feedback.
- Investigate root causes of latency or quality degradation and develop mitigation strategies.
- Set priorities for data processing based on regional importance and delivery requirements.
- Track and resolve reported issues by applying technical fixes and validating outcomes.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in the geospatial or remote sensing field.
- High school diploma or bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geospatial Science, or a related area—equivalent experience accepted.
- Proficiency with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or MapInfo.
- Experience with 3D modeling tools including SketchUp, Blender, Maya, or AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with image editing software like Photoshop or GIMP.
- Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, shell, Perl, or JavaScript.
- Experience using SQL, particularly for dashboard development and data querying.
- Skill in designing and styling thematic maps for visualization.
- Background in photogrammetry principles and related software tools.
- Strong technical aptitude with geospatial technologies and services.
