Lead Consultant – SAP BTP Integration with AI and Joule Experience
Role Summary
This position leads the architectural design and deployment of integration solutions across SAP and non-SAP environments, with a focus on S/4HANA migrations and cloud transformation under RISE with SAP. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on execution to modernize integration landscapes using SAP Integration Suite, AI-driven automation, and SAP BTP.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-grade integration architectures using SAP Integration Suite components, including CPI, API Management, Event Mesh, and Open Connectors.
- Define future-state integration models that support hybrid and cloud-only deployments, ensuring performance, security, and long-term scalability.
- Lead the migration of legacy SAP PI/PO interfaces to SAP CPI, following clean-core guidelines and SAP best practices.
- Drive integration workstreams for S/4HANA transitions, including deployments in private and public cloud environments.
- Establish integration patterns between SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP, aligned with SAP Activate methodology and reference architectures.
- Collaborate with functional, BASIS, security, and cloud infrastructure teams to ensure system-wide compatibility and stability.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into integration flows for automation, classification, anomaly detection, and predictive insights.
- Utilize SAP Joule as an intelligent assistant for integration design, error diagnostics, root-cause analysis, and operational decision support.
- Promote AI-enhanced integration patterns such as smart routing, data enrichment, and document or sentiment analysis.
- Guide end-to-end S/4HANA implementations through all SAP Activate phases: Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Run.
- Oversee interface development, testing activities, cutover planning, and post-go-live support.
- Ensure monitoring, alerting, and governance frameworks are in place for integration operations.
- Lead integrations connecting SAP S/4HANA with SAP IS-Oil, SAP CX modules, SAP Analytics Cloud, banking systems, commodity pricing feeds, government compliance platforms, logistics providers, and partner ecosystems.
Required Expertise
- Proven experience with SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, and SAP Integration Suite.
- Track record in S/4HANA transformation programs, especially within RISE with SAP contexts.
- Familiarity with hybrid and cloud-native integration models.
- Experience designing API-led and event-driven integration strategies.
- Ability to apply AI-driven intelligence in integration scenarios using SAP AI/ML services and SAP Joule.
- Leadership in designing and governing large-scale integration environments across heterogeneous systems.
