Shape the future of AI-powered life sciences software as the Lead Software Architect/Engineer for a new, ground-up application. You'll define the technical vision, drive system architecture, and lead engineering execution for a cloud-native platform that leverages the latest in artificial intelligence and large language models.
What You'll Do
- Lead the full lifecycle development of AI-native software products from concept to deployment
- Translate business and go-to-market goals into robust, scalable technical designs
- Design and implement distributed systems using frameworks like Dask, Spark, or Ray
- Collaborate with product, UX, and cloud operations teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
- Guide architectural decisions that support integration across a broader software ecosystem
- Champion best practices in cloud security, observability, and DevSecOps across CI/CD pipelines
- Contribute to team growth through hiring, code reviews, and technical mentorship
What We're Looking For
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- 5–10+ years of experience in software engineering and systems architecture
- Proven track record building AI-driven applications, especially those utilizing LLMs
- Deep expertise in Python and Java, with familiarity in Go and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Extensive experience with microservices, containers, APIs, and SaaS architecture
- Strong background in distributed computing frameworks and scalable system design
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams
- Willingness to travel for in-person interviews at a US headquarters location
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a technical or scientific field
- Experience in ChemBioInformatics or scientific data applications
- Full-stack development background
- Active involvement with open-source technologies
- Strong communication skills and creative problem-solving abilities
Work Environment
This is a fully remote position for candidates based in the United States, with core working hours aligned to the Eastern Time zone. The role supports a flexible yet collaborative structure, enabling high-performance engineering from anywhere in the US.
Compensation & Benefits
