Join a forward-thinking consultancy seeking Principal and Senior Technical Business Analysts to shape data-driven outcomes across high-regulation industries like telecommunications, financial services, and healthcare. In this role, you’ll act as a critical link between business objectives and technical execution, ensuring data solutions are aligned with strategic goals.
What You’ll Do
- Translate complex business needs into clear technical direction, guiding teams through the evolution from current state to future capabilities.
- Investigate and document existing data ecosystems in depth—mapping systems, governance models, and data flows—and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Use SQL to explore, validate, and interpret data structures, uncovering insights that inform solution design and business value.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and visualization specialists to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with client goals.
- Develop comprehensive documentation—including business requirement specs, process flows, and data dictionaries—enhanced with contextual insights to guide decision-making.
- Frame delivery in terms of impact, using storytelling to connect features to business outcomes and drive stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute to product backlogs, refine user stories, and help prioritize work based on business criticality and value potential.
- Support client adoption of data assets, ensuring insights are understood and actively used across organizations.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst or Solution Lead in complex, data-intensive environments.
- Strong SQL proficiency with the ability to analyze schemas, trace logic, and validate assumptions through direct data exploration.
- Skilled at interpreting data models and system behaviors, and translating them into accessible insights for diverse audiences.
- Exceptional communication abilities—able to simplify complexity and build consensus across technical and business stakeholders.
- A curious, detail-oriented mindset with a drive to question assumptions and improve processes thoughtfully.
- Experience influencing decisions through data, with a track record of delivering high-quality, well-documented outcomes.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to build trust and lead through influence rather than authority.
