The Product Manager, Insurance (Core Product) at Jerry.ai will lead the quoting engine team, owning the end-to-end customer experience for insurance shopping in the app. This highly technical role involves managing carrier integrations, optimizing quote accuracy and speed, and improving conversion and success rates across the quoting funnel.
What You'll Do
- Drive Carrier Integrations: Own the end-to-end process of launching new insurance carrier partners and products, often working directly with external insurance carrier teams to stand up integrations.
- Optimize Marketplace Performance: Improve our quoting system logic, eligibility rules, and coverage matching to ensure customers receive the maximum number of competitive quotes.
- Own the Funnel: Diagnose where customers drop out of the quoting journey and implement technical or UX solutions to improve the quote success rate.
- Ensure Data Accuracy: Maintain the integrity of our underwriting inputs to ensure the prices we show are accurate, protecting both the customer experience and our loss ratio.
- Scale with Speed: Maintain our competitive advantage by keeping median quote latency between 5-15 seconds, ensuring a reliable and 'instant' feel for the user.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in technical product management, management consulting, or data analytics.
- Extreme attention to detail and ability to get deep into the weeds of API documentation and rating logic.
- Ability to understand how backend technical performance (latency, accuracy) directly impacts consumer behavior and marketplace conversion.
- Comfort diving into data to answer your own questions; must live in KPIs like Quote Success Rates, Conversion, and Loss Ratios daily.
- Ability to bridge the gap between engineering, insurance specialists, and external partners, translating complex technical hurdles into clear product roadmaps.
- Passion for AI, including personal use to automate day-to-day tasks and desire to leverage AI at scale for personalized customer experiences.
