Medline Industries, LP is hiring a Project Manager R&D

About the Role

Drive innovation in healthcare product development by leading end-to-end project execution for medical devices, dietary supplements, cosmetics, and over-the-counter or approved drug products. This position plays a central role in coordinating multifunctional teams across research, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, and product management to ensure timely delivery and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of R&D projects, aligning timelines, budgets, and deliverables with strategic business goals
  • Apply agile project management principles to guide iterative development cycles and adapt to evolving project needs
  • Translate high-level objectives into actionable plans, defining scope, milestones, and success metrics
  • Identify potential risks related to schedule, cost, or regulatory compliance, and develop mitigation strategies
  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and maintain clear communication across stakeholders
  • Prepare technical documentation to support product claims and regulatory submissions
  • Participate in external technical committees to help shape industry standards and testing methodologies
  • Foster team engagement through transparency, proactive problem-solving, and consistent follow-up

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related discipline and have at least two years of experience in medical device or pharmaceutical development. Familiarity with design controls, risk analysis, and the 510(k) clearance process is essential. Project management experience with Class I–II medical devices is required, and PMP certification is a plus. Experience launching new healthcare products is highly valued.

Up to 10% travel may be required, including domestic and international destinations. This role is based onsite in Northfield, Illinois.

Compensation & Benefits

This position offers an annual salary ranging from $92,000 to $138,000, with eligibility for bonuses or incentives.
