SwissBorg is seeking a Scala Engineer to contribute to our financial technology platform. You will design, build, and maintain the backend systems that power our user-facing products.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Scala
- Implement robust, testable, and performant code for financial applications
- Collaborate with team members across product and engineering to deliver features
- Participate in code reviews and advocate for software quality standards
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in production systems
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience building production systems with Scala
- Strong understanding of functional programming principles
- Experience with distributed systems, concurrency, and asynchronous programming
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Effective communication skills for remote collaboration
Work Mode
This is a remote position. Candidates must be based in and legally authorized to work in the Europe Timezone, specifically in one of the following locations: Krakow, Estonia, Lisbon, Porto, Prague, Tallinn, Warsaw, or Tartu.
