Step into a 12-week internship as a Security Engineer, starting in early December 2026 and running through late February 2027. This remote-friendly opportunity is open to students completing their degree between 2027 and mid-2028, based in Australia or New Zealand with valid work rights.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, test, and maintain a dedicated security project under guidance from seasoned engineers
- Contribute to documentation that supports secure software development practices
- Engage with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions in a fast-moving environment
- Explore and apply AI-powered tools to streamline workflows and enhance security outcomes
- Investigate vulnerabilities across systems and assist in triaging risks within the threat landscape
- Learn and implement security controls across cloud platforms, compute environments, and infrastructure layers
What We’re Looking For
- Current enrollment in a technical degree program with completion expected between 2027 and mid-2028
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Golang, Python, or Java
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams
- Enthusiasm for cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and secure coding practices
- Willingness to engage with AI tools to improve productivity and problem-solving
- Full-time availability for the duration of the internship period
Work Environment
