Shape the financial data foundation for a growing Banking-as-a-Service platform by designing robust data pipelines and ensuring end-to-end integrity. This role sits at the intersection of finance, engineering, and product, driving technical solutions that directly impact financial reporting, compliance, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain automated data ingestion systems for partner integrations, reducing manual processes and increasing reliability
- Develop and review production SQL code, ensuring performance, scalability, and clarity across complex financial datasets
- Lead technical onboarding of new financial partners, integrating multi-source data streams into a unified financial framework
- Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies using forensic analysis and statistical methods to identify root causes
- Build and manage automated validation systems to detect anomalies and safeguard data accuracy before General Ledger impact
- Define authoritative data standards and implement proactive monitoring to maintain 100% financial data integrity
- Act as technical lead for the Finxact core banking system, translating configuration into clear financial logic for leadership and auditors
- Analyze transaction and partner behavior over time to deliver predictive insights for pricing and risk
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to shape future data architecture and influence product development
- Mentor junior analysts and lead initiatives to streamline reporting, reduce close cycles, and improve audit readiness
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or a quantitative field
- 5–8+ years in financial data analysis, analytics engineering, or fintech operations
- Advanced SQL skills: optimizing complex queries, managing stored procedures, and navigating disparate schemas
- Proven experience in dimensional modeling and building scalable reporting structures using BI tools, Python, or R
- Deep understanding of BaaS, core banking, or fintech accounting—including General Ledger, settlement flows, and regulatory reporting
- Familiarity with cloud-native banking platforms such as Finxact
- Ability to translate technical data concepts for executives and auditors
- Project leadership experience across the full software development lifecycle
Technology Environment
Work with SQL, Finxact, BI tools, Python, R, and modern data modeling frameworks. Support automated compliance systems and core banking integrations that power real-time financial operations.
