Flock Safety is seeking a Senior Data Scientist, Operations Modeling to explore data and apply advanced analytical techniques to build tools that drive critical business decisions. You will work in a results-oriented and supportive remote team environment.
What You'll Do
- Learn our internal toolkit, data science standards, and existing project logic.
- Deep dive into SQL data models and project architecture.
- Onboard to and enhance existing Data Science projects.
- Deploy your enhanced versions, including SQL data models and Python science models.
- Develop new Data Science projects from the ground up, including roadmap, methodology, and architecture.
- Build, test, and enhance your own models independently.
- Operate within our end-to-end automation and deployment infrastructure.
- Implement automated model monitoring and testing.
- Continuously refine and enhance your owned projects.
- Onboard to and develop further data science use cases for strategic business needs.
What We're Looking For
- BS/MS in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 3+ years proven experience as a data/decision scientist or AI/ML engineer.
- Strong experience using Python and its core AI/ML/OR packages.
- Strong SQL and data processing skills.
- Experience building predictive, simulation, or optimization models.
- Experience in data visualization tools like Sigma or Tableau.
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure platforms and deployment patterns.
- Ability to communicate with business partners and drive solutions to complex problems.
Nice to Have
- Experience developing data models, with exposure to dbt a strong plus.

- Compensation: $175,000-$200,000 + equity in the form of Flock Safety Stock Options.
