openESG GmbH is looking for a Senior Developer (m/w/d) to drive the technical advancement of our SaaS ESG platform. You will assume technical ownership from architecture to operations, making key technology decisions with management to build a scalable and forward-looking solution.
What You'll Do
- Take technical leadership for software architecture, decide on technical directions, and ensure stability, performance, and scalability.
- Develop hands-on, primarily in Python/Django, improve existing features, and drive new modules forward.
- Identify potential for new features, evaluate trends, and ensure the solution remains technologically leading.
- Further develop agile processes, strengthen CI/CD pipelines, and build out a robust DevOps structure with an external service provider.
- Lead a small agile team, foster individual development, and build up a growing engineering team over time.
What We're Looking For
- A degree or training in Computer Science/Business Informatics OR demonstrable experience successfully implementing complex software projects.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Django.
- Experience in designing and integrating APIs, with an understanding of clean interface principles.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD (e.g., with GitHub Actions) and interest in optimizing these structures.
- Agile mindset, valuing clean code but acting pragmatically when needed.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Django Ninja (REST API), HTMX, TailwindCSS, PostgreSQL, or Message Brokers.
