Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Senior GIS Analyst to lead advanced geospatial projects and produce high-impact mapping and analytical solutions. You will work with diverse data sources, including satellite and aerial imagery, to generate actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Produce complex, multi-layered maps and geospatial products in print, digital, and interactive web formats.
- Conduct advanced spatial analyses to identify patterns, trends, and insights from diverse geospatial data.
- Manage, process, and analyze aerial and satellite imagery for project needs.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance GIS applications, tools, and databases to support analytics and visualization.
- Support project planning, requirements gathering, database design, application coding, testing, and quality assurance.
- Communicate complex geospatial information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of GIS experience, including at least 2 years of direct analytical experience.
- Proven expertise in creating complex multi-layered maps, web-based GIS applications, and performing sophisticated geospatial analyses.
- Proficiency in GIS and GPS concepts, spatial data management, and relational database manipulation.
- Experience managing and processing aerial and satellite imagery.
- Familiarity with GIS application and tool development.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical information for varied audiences.
- U.S. Citizenship required due to government security clearance eligibility.
