TigerData is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, AI Tools to join Tiger Labs, a scrappy, high-trust group inside the company focused on inventing, testing, and scaling internal AI tools and developer-facing experiences for AI agents and AI-native apps. This is a hands-on generalist role working across internal and open-source projects.
What You'll Do
- Build, maintain, and improve internal AI tools that support teams across the company — from sales to support to engineering.
- Create and contribute to open-source tools that help AI developers build agents with PostgreSQL and TigerData.
- Work closely with product, design, and other engineers to get from 0→1 fast — then ship improvements as we learn.
- Make decisions quickly (and pivot when needed).
- Bring a product-minded lens to internal tools — your users might sit in the next Slack channel, but they deserve real UX.
What We're Looking For
- A generalist engineer with 5+ years of experience.
- You care about helping other developers build faster — you know a good DX is a force multiplier.
- You have used AI in production — to build agents, automate workflows, or prototype fast.
- You have solid backend skills (Go, Python, Postgres, etc.), but can jump into frontend if needed.
- You like to move quickly, take ownership, and figure things out without a 20-page brief.
- You are curious, humble, and default to action.
