Join a small, experienced team building a powerful, developer-first platform that simplifies deployment and scaling for Laravel applications. You'll take ownership of complex full-stack features, from database design and Eloquent models to real-time React interfaces powered by Inertia.js. This role is ideal for engineers who value clarity, maintainability, and precision in both backend architecture and frontend implementation.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement end-to-end features across the platform, ensuring seamless integration between Laravel backends and React frontends.
- Structure scalable, well-tested PHP services using Actions, Form Requests, queued jobs, and event broadcasting.
- Build robust, multi-tenant APIs with attention to security, versioning, and rate limiting.
- Develop responsive, accessible UIs for dashboards, resource management, and complex workflows using React and Inertia.js.
- Write thorough Pest tests covering edge cases and failure modes, maintaining high code coverage and type safety.
- Enforce code quality through static analysis with PHPStan/Larastan and consistent formatting via Pint and Rector.
- Collaborate closely with product and design to deliver intuitive, polished experiences that reflect strong engineering and user empathy.
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Laravel and PHP, with a deep understanding of Eloquent, query optimization, and application structure.
- Proven ability to design reliable background job systems and event-driven workflows in Laravel.
- Strong React proficiency, including component architecture, hooks, and real-time data handling.
- Familiarity with hybrid SPA frameworks like Inertia.js and modern tooling such as Vite and Tailwind CSS.
- A natural instinct for testing—writing comprehensive test suites is second nature.
- Clear communication skills and experience working effectively in asynchronous, remote teams.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure concepts such as DNS, TLS, containers, and managed databases.
- Experience with real-time features using WebSockets, Laravel Echo, or event broadcasting.
- Contributions to open-source projects in the Laravel ecosystem.
- Advanced use of PHPStan for enforcing strict type safety.
