About the Role

The Browser Company is looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer, AI Product to help redefine how people use the internet. You'll be a technical leader designing and shipping novel LLM-powered features for our browser, Dia, transforming ambiguous goals into elegant solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Shape the product roadmap for Dia’s assistant alongside our CTO and technical leaders.
  • Lead, architect, and execute cutting-edge LLM-powered features.
  • Support and mentor a talented team of product and machine learning engineers.
  • Drive AI quality by building and refining systems to assess and enhance model performance.
  • Integrate and experiment with the latest AI models, fine-tuning them for real-world use.
  • Proactively improve engineering-wide processes and architecture for performance and stability.
  • Deliver high-craft, interaction-rich user experiences that set a new industry standard.
  • Launch a next-generation Skills system serving as the foundation for AI Quality work.
  • Invent agentic and computer use capabilities that enable Dia to proactively assist users.
  • Architect a Memory system that learns from real user workflows.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience building and tech leading high-craft software products.
  • Deep experience in either user-facing product development or shipping ML features from 0-1.
  • Hands-on experience building with LLMs and an understanding of how they work.
  • Strong track record of coaching and mentoring software engineers.
  • Experience solving ambiguous problems and owning complex technical initiatives with outsized business impact.
  • Pragmatic, motivated by nebulous problems, and excited to work in a startup environment.
  • Ability to have 4+ hours of overlap time with team members in Eastern Time Zone.

You'll join a growing team of close to 100 people in a remote-friendly environment.

  • Salary range: $250,000-$310,000 USD.

Work Mode

This is a hybrid role based in Brooklyn, New York. Core working hours are 11 AM-2 PM Eastern Time Monday-Friday.
