Role Overview
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Fraud Analyst to join our cybersecurity team based in Brazil. In this role, you’ll play a key part in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating financial fraud across digital payment channels, including card transactions, Pix, TED, and boleto payments. Your work will directly support the integrity of our financial systems and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine transactional data for signs of suspicious behavior, including account takeovers, money mule networks, and social engineering schemes.
- Conduct in-depth investigations into fraud incidents, maintaining clear documentation for audits and regulatory reporting.
- Produce monthly fraud summaries for leadership review and assist in meeting BACEN reporting obligations.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity specialists to trace fraud back to underlying cyber threats such as credential stuffing or unauthorized access.
- Support the refinement of fraud detection rules and risk assessment models using behavioral and transactional insights.
- Partner with engineering and security teams to deploy controls that prevent future fraud events.
- Help shape internal policies and procedures to align with evolving regulatory standards in Brazil’s financial sector.
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex fraud cases and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in documentation and evidence tracking.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools, including SQL and SIEM platforms, to investigate security events and transaction patterns.
- Familiarity with Brazilian financial regulations, the Pix ecosystem, DICT, and KYC/KYB frameworks.
- Advanced English skills are required for cross-team collaboration and reporting.
