We're looking for an experienced Python developer to lead code migration and testing efforts for advanced AI projects serving top technology firms. In this role, you'll work independently on a project basis, focusing on ensuring code reliability, portability, and efficiency across diverse environments.
What You'll Do
- Develop comprehensive black-box functional tests for large-scale codebases written in multiple programming languages
- Build and maintain Docker configurations that guarantee consistent, reproducible builds and test execution
- Track and improve code coverage using automated metrics aligned with industry standards
- Integrate large language models—including Claude Code and Roo Code—into development workflows to speed up iteration and enhance test generation
What We Need
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software development with strong Python proficiency
- Deep knowledge of pytest, including advanced features like fixtures, session-scoped setup, and timeout handling, particularly for CLI applications
- Expertise in crafting secure, deterministic Dockerfiles and managing containerized environments
- Strong command of Linux systems and Bash scripting, with proven ability to troubleshoot inside containers
- Familiarity with modern Python tooling such as uv, pyproject.toml, and packaging workflows
- Ability to analyze and interpret code in languages like C, C++, Rust, or Go, often with the support of LLMs
- Experience applying LLMs like Claude Code, Roo Code, or Cursor to streamline development and testing
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher

- Background working with agent evaluation systems or MCP CLI tools
Work Environment
This is a fully remote, freelance position with flexible scheduling. You can choose your workload within a 20–30 hour weekly range, collaborating through a global platform. Projects are compensated based on scope and expertise, with qualified contributors earning up to $80 per hour equivalent. You’ll support cutting-edge AI initiatives while working independently within a supportive international network.
