Shape the future of decentralized technology by enhancing the foundational layers of the XRP Ledger. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a central role in expanding the ledger's programmability through smart contracts, with a focus on integrating and maintaining a WebAssembly (WASM) virtual machine within a high-performance C++ environment.
What You’ll Do
- Design and refine core components of the XRP Ledger to improve scalability, performance, and support for decentralized applications.
- Lead the implementation and optimization of a WASM runtime, bridging low-level systems with modern execution environments.
- Drive projects from concept to completion—architecting solutions, writing clean code in C++ and Rust, and ensuring robust testing practices.
- Produce detailed technical documentation and lead discussions with engineers across teams and external contributors.
- Champion code quality and best practices within an open-source community, including thorough code reviews and collaborative problem-solving.
What We’re Looking For
- At least five years of software development experience with strong proficiency in modern C++ and Rust.
- Proven background integrating WebAssembly runtimes into native codebases, especially in systems programming contexts.
- Deep interest in blockchain architecture and distributed systems, with a drive to solve complex technical challenges.
- Ability to communicate intricate concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Active contributions to open-source blockchain projects or developer communities.
