Toogeza is looking for a hands-on Solution Architect to build our technical foundation from the ground up. You’ll lead the development of our first external-facing API product – a high-load, high-availability system delivering game and player data. This role offers the opportunity to shape our product's core architecture and grow into a CTO position.
What You'll Do
- Design the architecture of scalable and secure API-based products.
- Lead the end-to-end development of backend systems and data integration.
- Collaborate with data engineers to build and optimize data pipelines for AI/ML model training, deployment, and monitoring.
- Integrate AI/ML models into production systems, ensuring performance, stability, and cost efficiency.
- Select and implement infrastructure tooling where it’s needed (containerization, orchestration, cloud).
- Set development standards, CI/CD processes, and performance monitoring.
- Provide hands-on coding and technical guidance, especially during early-stage product development.
- Partner with product managers and external partners to shape technical solutions and ensure alignment with product strategy.
- Proactively identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and product differentiation.
What We're Looking For
- Strong web backend development background (Javascript, Node.js, Python).
- Experience in high-load, high-availability API-based applications.
- Solid knowledge of relational (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
- Cloud experience with BigQuery or AWS Athena.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container-based infrastructure.
- Proficient with caching systems (e.g., Redis).
- Hands-on experience building systems from scratch and making foundational architecture decisions.
- Understanding of secure, scalable system design and cloud infrastructure best practices.
- Startup mindset – comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements.
- Desire to influence business outcomes, not just deliver technical tasks.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of the iGaming industry or understanding of slot game mechanics.
- A fintech, analytics, or data product background is a strong plus.
- Previous experience with analytics products, especially in B2B SaaS or gaming.
